Official Use of Vehicles Within City | Company Car Plicy

2.5 Official Use of Vehicles within City : Company Pool vehicles are available for official use of vehicles only within City on working days from the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm for Head Office and from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm for Plants. Employees who wish to official use of vehicles for this purpose must fill out a “Vehicle Requisition for Official Use within City Form” available at Human Resources Division, have it approved by their department head, and return the form to Human Resources Division prior to their trip.

In case of official use of vehicles, if the vehicle is required before 9:30 am, then the employee is required to provide the driver with a minimum of Rs. 50.00 only for breakfast. If the vehicle is not on Company premises during the lunch hour (between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm) then the employee must provide the driver with a minimum of Rs. 150.00 only for lunch.

All vehicles are required to return to Sonata premises by 4:00 pm. Drivers have standing instructions to leave their location with ample time to return to Sonata premises by 4:00 pm, with or without the employee(s) who have requisitioned the vehicle.

2.6 Official Use of Vehicles outside City
Rental Vehicles are available for official use of vehicles only outside City for single or multiple day trips, and will be rented for this purpose by the Marketing Services Department (MSD). Employees who wish to avail these services must fill out a “Vehicle Requisition for Official Use of Vehicles Outside City Form” available at Human Resources Division, have it approved by their Department Head, and return it to Human Resources Division, which in turn will be forwarded to MSD after approval, at least 3 days prior to the start of the journey.

A per diem must be paid to the driver for room and board during the trip, inclusive of the initial and final days of the trip. The current per diem amount can be obtained from the MSD Manager.
