How can we classify plants?

I asked the answer to my daughter and she replied me that we can classify the plants into three groups based on their sizes and stems, such as-

1. Tree
2. Shrub, and
3. Herb

Again, we can classify them as-

• Flowering plants and
• Non-flowering plants.

For example, rose is a flowering plant and fern/moss is a non-flowering plant.
