IFA 2014 was an event full of new to the world of mobile technology.
Besides the influx of smartwatch – at least compared to the 2013 edition – there is also the determination builders smartphones to capitalize on our obsession with selfies.
There are a few months, Sony has opened hostilities (among major manufacturers) by unveiling its Xperia C3, with a 5 megapixels a camera and an LED flash on the front.
Recently, we also discussed the launch of the Lumia 730 and 735 by Microsoft, the entry-level mobile which also feature a 5 megapixel camera in the front, with a focal distance of 24 mm.
But in case that you would have gone unnoticed, who pulled out the big guns, it’s HTC, the HTC Desire 820 which is the successor to the HTC Desire 816.
In my personal opinion, it deserves the status of “selfie phone”, the term used by the media to describe the mobile optimized for selfies.
In fact, HTC has equipped its new mobile BSI sensor 8 megapixels in the front, capable of shooting Full HD and accompanied by new features.
At the rear, it has another 13-megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and aperture f / 2.2.
Behind its 5.5-inch HD screen, the HTC Desire 820 hides a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor 615 to 64-bit architecture, a RAM of 2 GB and 16GB storage (expandable). Of course, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE connectivity are waiting for you.
Anyway, for those who love (good) selfies, the choice is becoming wider. Lenovo has also introduced the Vibe Z2, with specs roughly similar to those of the new HTC Desire and especially an 8 megapixel camera on the front.
The specifications of Lenovo Vibe Z2:
Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and 64-bit architecture
Ram Memory 2GB
Storage of 32 GB
4G LTE connectivity
Android OS 4.4
Full HD screen of 5.5 inches
